Indian Fry Bread
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp baking powder
2 Tbsp powdered milk
3/4 cup water
vegetable oil for frying
- Combine dry ingredients. Add water and knead.
- Divide dough into about 4 equal parts. Flatten into 1/4-inch-thick rounds.
- Heat oil to approx. 375°F in a pan for deep-frying.
- Place one round in oil at a time; fry on both sides until golden brown.
- Drain oil and serve.
